Germany international Marco Reus faces no further
sanctions over driving without a licence as prosecutors said Friday
they have terminated an investigation.
The prosecution office said in a statement it could not be proven
that Reus had been driving on more occasions than the six between
September 2011 and March 2014 for which he was fined 540,000 euros
(605,500 dollars) last year.
The statement said the case was closed Thursday and that Reus had
paid the full fine by May 2015.
The Borussia Dortmund forward was discovered last year to have been
driving without a licence after being stopped in a police control in
March. Reus later admitted he never obtained a licence.
